Traffic Accident Injures Three in downtown Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Oct. 10 — A multi-vehicle collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Elm Avenue, injuring three individuals.
According to the Springfield Police Department, two cars and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. Emergency responders transported the injured to Springfield General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported that vehicles were traveling in both directions when the motorcycle collided with one of the cars, causing a chain reaction.
Authorities closed two eastbound lanes on Main Street while the scene was cleared. The Springfield Police Department is investigating the incident. No fatalities have been reported.
