A fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning in Pittsfield, claiming the life of a Mainer.
The incident took place around 12:17 a.m. near the intersection of Route 2 and Beans Corner Road, according to Pittsfield Police Chief Vicente Morris. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was found deceased inside the vehicle, authorities confirmed.
