Driver Dies After Hit and Run Crash in Grand Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A driver suspected of causing a hit and run crash early Saturday morning died after crashing into a tree.
According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hall Street and Buchanan Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. for a reported hit and run. A Chrysler Town & Country minivan was identified as the vehicle that left the scene.
The minivan later struck a tree near Buchanan Avenue and Stevens Street, rolling over upon impact. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No injuries were reported from the initial hit and run incident.
