Nov. 3, 2026, 2:29 p.m. ET – A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking a bicycle on Pleasant Valley Road in Glasgow on Nov. 1.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. as 35-year-old Nicholas Jones of Newark was walking northbound near Coopers Drive.
Authorities reported that he was hit by a Hyundai Tiburon traveling in the same direction. Emergency response teams arrived immediately, but Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on-site, and the vehicle was towed. Investigators are determining the full circumstances of the incident. Lane closures were in effect during the investigation.
