Arlington Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash on I-20
ARLINGTON, TX — A pedestrian was killed in a crash around 4:30 a.m. on October 10 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Bowen Road.
Authorities believe the victim was attempting to cross the freeway when the incident occurred. The westbound lanes of I-20 were closed for several hours between Cooper Street and Bowen Road while police conducted their investigation.
The roadway was reopened shortly before 10 a.m., according to officials. Affected traffic was significant due to the presence of an 18-wheeler involved in the incident, which delayed reopening efforts.
Police have not confirmed the identities of those involved or the number of occupants in the truck. The investigation remains ongoing.
