Washington, D.C. — A Metro bus crashed into a restaurant near 7th and Q streets NW on Saturday morning, April 4, injuring three.
According to DC Fire and EMS, the bus was hit and then careened into the AMBAR Restaurant, coming to rest partially inside.
Authorities said three adult women, including the bus driver, were transported to nearby hospitals with minor injuries.
Fire officials said crews secured utilities, conducted a full search, and used specialized teams to remove the bus; units began clearing after the extraction.
Officials said the building showed no major structural issues and no shoring was required.
The Metropolitan Police Department and DC Fire and EMS are investigating the cause of the crash.
