Cozad crash kills 80-year-old woman, cement truck driver injured.

COZAD, Neb. — An 80-year-old woman died in a collision with a cement truck on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. when a Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Linda Bubak of Cozad, attempted to turn left off eastbound Highway 30 onto a residential street, authorities said. The vehicle turned directly in front of a westbound cement truck, leading to the collision.

Bubak was at the scene, while the cement truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Nebraska State Patrol is spearheading the investigation into the incident, with support from the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Cozad Police Department, and local emergency services.
