Nampa Woman Dies in I-84 Accident

NAMPA, Idaho — A 65-year-old Nampa woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on westbound I-84 late Saturday night, according to the Ada County Coroner's Office.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m. on June 27 near mile marker 67 when the driver exited a and was struck by another westbound vehicle. Westbound lanes remained closed for approximately 13 hours during the investigation and cleanup.

The victim has been identified as Dawn Hettinger, 65, of Nampa. She was at the scene at 1:20 a.m. on June 28. The cause and manner of her death are still pending.

Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing and the exact number of vehicles involved is being assessed. The Idaho State Police is leading the investigation.
