OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) — A tragic crash on Friday night in Ogden claimed the life of one child and left multiple others injured.
According to police, a 14-year-old driver fled from officers in a stolen vehicle, colliding with another vehicle containing eight occupants, including six children and two adults. One child was ejected from the vehicle and later died from injuries sustained in the crash. In total, authorities reported nine injuries from the incident.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, providing medical aid to the injured and coordinating necessary tows. As a result of the investigation, several lanes were temporarily closed, creating significant delays in traffic.
The family of the deceased child expressed profound grief on a GoFundMe page, detailing both emotional distress and financial burdens from medical and funeral costs. Friends and community members gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember the victim and support those still recovering from their injuries.
