Buhl Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash North of Jerome
JEROME COUNTY, Idaho — A two-vehicle crash late Monday night resulted in the death of a 66-year-old Buhl woman, according to Idaho State Police.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:08 p.m. at the intersection of East 700 North and U.S. Highway 93. A 40-year-old Shoshone woman was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Equinox northbound on Highway 93 when a 2002 Ford F-150 traveling east on East 700 North entered the intersection.
Authorities reported that the Ford driver failed to yield at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with the Chevrolet. The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chevrolet driver was transported to a local hospital by ambulance; her current condition has not been disclosed.
Emergency responders included officers from the Idaho State Police, Jerome Fire, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Jerome County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
