PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — A multi-car crash involving a school bus occurred Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Southeast Lyngate Drive and Southeast Elkhart Terrace.
According to authorities, the bus was stopped when another vehicle rear-ended a car behind it, which then struck the bus. One child was transported to a local hospital with neck pain.
The remaining 13 children on the bus were safely transferred to another vehicle and taken to school. No other injuries were reported.
Emergency responders secured the scene, and traffic in the area experienced temporary disruptions. The investigation is ongoing.
