Spring Hill Woman Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash at Intersection, According to FHP.

SPRING HILL, Fla. — A 75-year-old woman died after a collision involving three vehicles at a Spring Hill intersection on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Kia Forte north on Horizon Drive when she entered the path of an eastbound Mercedes driven by a 64-year-old man. The struck the Kia, causing it to spin into the path of a westbound Toyota RAV4 driven by a 30-year-old woman.

Emergency responders transported the Kia driver to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The other two drivers sustained minor injuries.

Authorities closed multiple lanes during the investigation, which remains ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.

In a separate incident, Florida lawmakers have deferred a proposed bill aimed at clarifying the school speed zone camera laws. The bill sought to mandate flashing lights in such zones, as drivers continue to express confusion over existing signage.
