CHELMSFORD, MA — A fatal crash occurred Wednesday night shortly before midnight on Stedman Street.
Chelmsford Police and Fire responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles with significant front-end damage. Upon arrival, responders found an adult male driver suffering critical injuries.
Witnesses reported that bystanders were administering aid. The driver was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Another occupant from the second vehicle was also hospitalized but is expected to survive, according to authorities.
The crash's cause is currently under investigation by the Chelmsford Police, with the Middlesex District Attorney's Office notified.
