KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Customers of CAMC Federal Credit Union have been unable to fully access their accounts since a server crash on Tuesday.

The outage, attributed to a failure at a third-party data center, is affecting over 150 credit unions nationwide, according to bank officials.

Authorities confirmed that all accounts remain secure, emphasizing that the disruption is not related to a data breach. The crash was caused by overheating servers at the data center.

Customers with direct deposits can still access funds, as that system operates independently. Debit card users can withdraw up to $200 from ATMs.

The credit union aims to resolve these issues by the close of business on Friday.
