Eugene Mirman, 51, was pulled from a burning vehicle after a crash at Bedford Toll Plaza on March 31, 2026, around 11:55 a.m., authorities said.
According to the New Hampshire Division of State Police, a veteran State Trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail came upon the crash, found the vehicle on fire, and pulled the driver through a window to safety.
The crash occurred at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike in Bedford, N.H. Authorities said Mirman was transported to a hospital for treatment.
A representative for Mirman said he is on the mend and requested privacy for his family.
State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall said the trooper's actions were heroic. The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. Authorities did not immediately report lane closures, additional vehicles involved, or tows.
