Actor Eugene Mirman Injured in Fiery Crash at New Hampshire Toll Plaza
BEDFORD, NH — Actor Eugene Mirman, 51, was hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash at the Bedford Toll Plaza on the Everett Turnpike around noon on Tuesday.
The New Hampshire State Police reported that Mirman's 2026 Lucid Gravity caught fire after crashing into the toll booth. Witnesses indicated that the driver was trapped inside, prompting immediate rescue efforts.
According to authorities, a State Trooper assigned to Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail, along with other bystanders, successfully extricated Mirman from the burning vehicle. The governor, who was present at the scene, also assisted and retrieved a fire extinguisher.
“The detail got out and assisted when they noticed a serious crash,” said Bedford Town Council Chair Phil Greazzo. Police have not released the name of the trooper involved in the rescue.
Mirman's publicist confirmed his injuries, stating that he is recovering and has expressed gratitude to those who helped him, including first responders and hospital staff.
