Bourne Bridge Reopens After Serious Crash
The Bourne Bridge, which connects Cape Cod to mainland Massachusetts, reopened following a serious crash on Sunday afternoon.
Massachusetts State Police responded to the incident at approximately 1 p.m. One individual was trapped in a vehicle and transported to a hospital with serious injuries. No additional injuries have been reported.
Route 28 was closed in both directions at the bridge for several hours due to the crash, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The roadway has since been cleared and reopened.
