Seven Involved in Shem Creek Boating Incident; One Fatality Reported
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. — A boating incident on April 25 in the Shem Creek area involved seven individuals, resulting in one fatality.
According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), the vessel reportedly crashed into a dock. One passenger, believed to be a college student, died from injuries sustained in the incident. The remaining six passengers, all college-aged, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
