Bicyclist Found Dead in Aurora Hit-and-Run Crash
A bicyclist was found dead in eastern Aurora on Monday morning following a hit-and-run crash, authorities said.
Dispatchers were alerted to the incident in the 1600 block of South Powhaton Road, near East Jewell Avenue, shortly after 9:30 a.m. Police and firefighters arrived and confirmed the bicyclist's death. The identity of the victim and the cause of death will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the investigation is ongoing as a hit-and-run, but no vehicle description is currently available.
