Pickens County, AL, Two-Vehicle Collision Claims Life of Aliceville Man

An Aliceville man died in a two-vehicle crash on May 25 in Pickens County, according to Alabama state troopers.
Douglas Wilder, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene after his 2005 Ford Five Hundred collided head-on with a 2017 Jeep Cherokee driven by 32-year-old Haleigh Kendall Jayne Condra of Gordo.
Condra sustained injuries and was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. A 10-month-old passenger in the Jeep also suffered injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Pickens County Road 2 near Patton Road, approximately four miles west of Aliceville, authorities said.
Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the incident.
