Mother and Child Killed in Hamden Head-On Collision
HAMDEN, CT — A mother and her 7-year-old child were killed in a head-on crash on Davis Street near Roger's Road around 10:13 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities identified the mother as 40-year-old Brandi Lowery of New Haven. The name of the child has not been released.
The two-vehicle collision resulted in serious, non-life-threatening injuries to the occupants of the second vehicle. Five individuals were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Lowery and her child were pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
