BOZEMAN, Mont. — A accident on Frontage Road near the westbound on-ramp to Interstate 90 claimed the life of one motorcyclist on July 3 at approximately 10 p.m.

Authorities reported that the crash involved a traveling eastbound and a dirt bike. Preliminary findings indicate the Jeep's driver made a left hand turn onto the I-90 on-ramp without seeing the dirt bike. The dirt bike reportedly had no forward-facing headlamp or other lighting activated at the time of the collision.

Emergency responders and bystanders attempted lifesaving measures on the motorcyclist, who was later at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

According to officials, there is no evidence suggesting the driver was impaired; they are cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The roadway remained closed for a period as investigators gathered details.

The incident is still under active investigation by law enforcement.
