MISSOULA, Mont. — A 47-year-old Billings man died in a rollover crash early Saturday morning on Interstate 94 near Worden, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at mile marker 20 on eastbound I-94 in Yellowstone County. Authorities reported that the man was driving a Jeep Liberty westbound when it drifted off the right side of the roadway.
The rear right side of the vehicle struck the end of a guardrail, causing it to rotate counterclockwise and slide into the median. The Jeep then overturned, coming to rest on its roof near the eastbound lanes.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Road conditions at the time were reported as dry and bare.
The crash remains under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
