Injuries Reported in Benton County Head-On Crash

BENTON COUNTY, MO — Two vehicles collided Wednesday evening on Route Z, just east of Bent Tree Drive.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash occurred around 5:34 p.m. A 2011 Edge, driven by a 32-year-old male from Warsaw who was traveling westbound, struck a 2017 Ford Transit Van head-on while attempting to avoid it.

The van, operated by a 38-year-old female, sustained injuries, and a 43-year-old male passenger was moderately injured. All occupants in the van were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. The Ford Edge driver, who was not restrained, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

Both individuals in the van were taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment. MSHP is investigating the incident, and no further information on potential lane closures or tows has been reported.
