PELHAM, N.H. — Two individuals were hospitalized following a crash Thursday afternoon on Sherburne Road, according to police.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near Waterside Drive, prompting multiple 911 calls. Officers found a Ford Mustang, driven by a 60-year-old man from Pelham, and a Mercedes SUV, operated by a 62-year-old Nashua resident, at the scene with significant damage.
Authorities reported that the driver of the Mustang sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Lowell General Hospital. The driver of the Mercedes was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.
Police stated the Mustang was headed eastbound when it crossed into the westbound lane, resulting in a collision where the passenger door struck the front of the Mercedes.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are expected, according to police. Sherburne Road experienced traffic delays for approximately two hours as a result of the accident.
