Nashville Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Nashville police are searching for the driver of a black Jeep involved in a fatal accident that occurred on Sept. 16.

The victim, a 67-year-old man, was lying in the middle of D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard at 17th Avenue North when he was struck by the vehicle, which continued northbound. The cause for his presence on the roadway remains unclear. He was subsequently transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was .

This incident marks the 15th pedestrian crash reported in 2025, with 11 of those cases resulting in fatalities. Notably, 10 of the 15 crashes involved drivers.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident, along with two additional fatal crashes that occurred since Sept. 11. In one of those cases, Lha Tun, of Cimarron Way, was hit by a dark-colored Dodge Charger while crossing Haywood Lane and was left on the street. The Charger fled the scene heading east.
