Murfreesboro, TN. – Two people were injured in a car accident on Wednesday morning in Murfreesboro.
According to the Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department, the accident happened on Franklin Road (Highway 96) at Fortress Boulevard at around 8:30 a.m.
Two vehicles reportedly collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
One driver was trapped in the car and had to be extricated.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
