SIX KILLED IN HILL COUNTY CRASH ON HIGHWAY 171
HILL COUNTY, TX — Six individuals, including two children, were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 171 on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near FM 3155 when a northbound Nissan attempted to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with a Ford van.
DPS confirmed that two children and two adults inside the van were killed, while another child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Two occupants of the Nissan also died.
Authorities have initiated an investigation, and the identities of the victims have not yet been released. No lane closures were reported following the incident.
