Madbury Rollover Crash Throws Passenger from Vehicle; Driver Charged
A passenger was ejected from a vehicle during a rollover crash in Madbury on Saturday, leading to multiple charges against the driver, including driving under the influence, State Police reported.
The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Route 155. Emergency responders from local fire and medical services arrived at the scene to assist the injured. The passenger was transported to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities stated that the driver, a 32-year-old male from Madbury, exhibited signs of intoxication and was subsequently arrested. The vehicle, a sedan, was the lone car involved in the incident.
As police conducted their investigation, Route 155 experienced brief lane closures to facilitate emergency response and scene cleanup. Officials have not released the names of those involved. The investigation is ongoing, according to the State Police.
