Three injured in serious crash on Interstate 89.

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Three people sustained serious injuries in a crash on Interstate 89 southbound in Hopkinton on Monday at approximately 3:30 p.m.

According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers responded to the incident near mile marker 9.4. Upon arrival, they discovered one vehicle overturned and another off the highway, both impacted by fallen trees.

Emergency medical personnel transported three individuals from one vehicle to the hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital as a precaution, officials stated.

Traffic in the area was halted for about an hour as crews managed the scene. The highway has since reopened.
