Fatal Accident Involving Ambulance Claims Three Lives Near Show Low, Arizona
Three people, including two firefighters, died in a collision involving an ambulance on State Route 260 near Show Low on Sept. 14 at approximately 10:15 p.m.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck an ambulance traveling west. All three individuals involved were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two firefighters who were in the ambulance were identified as members of the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District. The district expressed its grief over the loss in a social media post.
The identity of the other driver was also released, although the specific reasons for the vehicle crossing the center line remain under investigation by DPS.
Emergency response teams, including medical personnel, arrived on the scene; however, no survivors were reported. The accident has prompted lane closures as authorities conduct their investigation.
DPS has urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
