Two Dead in Central Kentucky Plane Crash, Says Sheriff.

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — A small aircraft crashed near Nicholasville on Saturday morning, resulting in two confirmed fatalities.

According to the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office, multiple calls reporting the crash came in around 8:45 a.m. near KY 169. The exact location was initially unclear, but responders were able to pinpoint the crash site after evaluating the influx of 911 calls.

Authorities gained access to a nearby farm, where the wreckage was found. The Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation, with support from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), who are en route to the scene.

A subsequent update from the Sheriff's Office confirmed two deaths; however, the total number of occupants aboard the aircraft remains undisclosed.

The NTSB identified the aircraft as a CA9-WB, a six-seat, single-engine plane, and is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
