HORSESHOE BEND, Idaho (CBS2) — A vehicle collision caused a power outage and lane restrictions on Highway 55 at School Road around 4:40 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities said a car struck a power pole, igniting a fire and leading to the outage throughout Horseshoe Bend. Motorists are being diverted onto Old Emmett Road as emergency crews respond to the scene.
Power was restored to the town by 5:40 p.m. However, traffic is reduced to a single lane, and drivers are advised to expect delays.
Witnesses reported that emergency personnel are directing traffic and caution is advised in the area. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
