CINCINNATI (WKRC) — A woman faces multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence with two children under 5 years old before crashing into a utility pole on Cincinnati’s west side.

Tiara Person, 35, was arraigned on June 17 in Hamilton County Municipal Court. She faces charges of endangering children, operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI), driving under a financial responsibility suspension, and reasonable control.

According to a court affidavit, the incident occurred near Cheviot Road. Investigators allege Person exhibited signs of alcohol or drug influence at the time of the crash, leading to significant vehicle damage and deployed airbags.

Authorities confirmed that the two children were present during the incident. Person’s actions allegedly posed a substantial risk to their safety.

Court records indicate Person’s bond was set at $2,500 at 10% or an electronic monitoring unit (EMU) for the child endangerment and OVI charges. She was released on her own recognizance for the suspension and reasonable control charges.

An investigation remains ongoing.
