INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man died Wednesday afternoon following a crash between an SUV and a pickup truck on Madison Avenue, just south of the I-70 underpass.
The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of Madison Avenue, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators believe the southbound SUV lost control and collided with the northbound pickup. The driver of the SUV suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
A woman passenger in the SUV and the male driver of the pickup were both reported stable when transported to the hospital. Their identities have not been released.
Authorities do not suspect impairment as a factor in the incident. Further investigation is ongoing.
