DES MOINES, Iowa — Weather is impacting traffic across the metro, resulting in multiple crashes late Thursday morning.
Crash on I-80-35
Delays exceeding 10 minutes are reported in both directions between the Des Moines River Bridge and Merle Hay Road due to a crash blocking the left lane of westbound Interstate 80-35. The crash also caused debris from the concrete median to encroach on the inside shoulder of eastbound 80-35.
Crash on I-235: Semi-Truck Cleared
A semi-truck previously blocking two right lanes of eastbound Interstate 235 at Easton Boulevard has been cleared. According to Des Moines police, the truck was involved in a crash and was towed around 11:40 a.m.
Emergency response teams remain on scene and lanes are expected to reopen shortly. Further investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
