New Bedford Bicycle Accident Leaves Child Dead
NEW BEDFORD, MA — A child was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Cherokee Street Wednesday afternoon, according to police. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Few details have been released as the collision is under investigation by local and state police, along with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office.
Lane closures are in effect on Cherokee Street as the investigation continues, authorities confirmed.
