KALISPELL, Mont. — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash on Airport Road near Kalispell on June 6 at 2:35 p.m.
The 2020 Kawasaki EX650 was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line at mile marker 8, according to authorities. The driver lost control while attempting to navigate a curve, resulting in the motorcycle overturning.
A 20-year-old Kalispell man was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is suspected as a contributing factor, and authorities confirmed the driver was wearing a helmet.
Emergency responders from the Kalispell Police Department and the Flathead County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene. The roadway was temporarily closed as an investigation commenced, with towing services on site to remove the motorcycle.
