Injuries Reported in Crash Involving Rudy Giuliani in New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was injured in a crash on Interstate 93 northbound in Manchester on Saturday, Aug. 30, shortly before 10 p.m.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a Ford Bronco when it was struck from behind by a Honda HRV. Authorities stated the crash occurred near a location where troopers were responding to a domestic violence call.

Giuliani's head of security, Michael Ragusa, reported that Giuliani suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured thoracic vertebra, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Emergency medical personnel are particularly cautious with individuals over 65 due to the potential for serious injuries, said Dr. Marc Grossman, EMS Emergency Director for HCA New England. He noted the possible need for trauma alerts in such cases.

Ragusa mentioned that Giuliani was attending a Fisher Cats game earlier in the evening and was flagged down by a woman claiming to be a domestic violence victim before the crash. He stayed with her until help arrived.

The 19-year-old driver of the Honda and Giuliani's driver also sustained injuries but are expected to recover. No charges have been filed, and the crash remains under investigation.

Authorities are requesting privacy for Giuliani as he recovers.
