West Harrison, Ind. — A 38-year-old Norwood man died June 5 from injuries in a June 3 paraglider crash at the Tri-State Soccer Complex.

The victim was identified as Eric Holm, 38, who died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to the coroner.

Emergency crews and Indiana State Police were dispatched at 8:30 p.m. June 3 to the complex for a report of an aircraft down, authorities said.

Holm lost control of the paraglider and struck the ground and nearby wires, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.

Witnesses recorded video of the crash, Wheeles said.

Holm was transported to UC Medical Center that night with life-threatening injuries; no one else was in the aircraft, authorities said.

Indiana State Police were still investigating as of June 4.
