Florida Woman Revived by Deputies After Being Found Unresponsive Behind Wheel Following Highway Crash

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A driver was resuscitated by deputies following a crash on I-4 Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. when a deputy responded to a crash scene on the interstate. While assessing the situation, the deputy discovered a woman unconscious behind the steering wheel of her vehicle.

Authorities reported that the woman was not breathing and had no pulse. A second deputy arrived shortly after and both initiated life-saving measures, including CPR and the use of a defibrillator.

Emergency medical crews from fire rescue took over upon arrival, continuing care for the woman. She was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
