NORTHFIELD, NH — Authorities on Monday identified the driver involved in a fatal single-car crash that occurred last week on NH Route 132.
The crash took place on October 2, 2023, around 10:45 p.m. when a sedan reportedly lost control and struck a tree. The driver, a 34-year-old male from Northfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported that weather conditions were clear at the time of the accident. Emergency responders from Northfield Fire Department and NH State Police arrived shortly after the incident occurred.
Authorities confirmed that no passengers were in the vehicle. The roadway was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared and an investigation was conducted.
As of now, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials urged anyone with additional information to contact the NH State Police.
