Man charged with aggravated assault following collision with ex-partner's vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested after allegedly crashing into his former partner's vehicle while violating a protective order on April 26.

According to an arrest affidavit, Carlos Rodriguez Jr., 29, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the incident on Marbach Road. Authorities said Rodriguez followed the woman, whom he previously dated, and attempted to engage her while she was driving.

After the woman parked near Marbach Oaks, Rodriguez reportedly demanded she exit her vehicle. He then returned to his and collided with hers. Witnesses reported that the woman experienced pain in her neck, back, stomach, and chest after the crash.

A female passenger in the woman's vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, including a bump on her head and bruising to her hand and knee. Rodriguez is currently in custody, facing charges related to the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
