
TOOELE COUNTY, UT (KUTV) — A rollover crash on State Route 36 left one driver dead Thursday night.
According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the vehicle was traveling north near Vernon when it began swerving off the road.
Witnesses in a nearby ambulance reported the vehicle nearly struck them before leaving the roadway a second time and rolling over.
The driver, identified as 69-year-old Dave T. Wolf from Riverton, was ejected and declared dead at the scene. His passenger sustained minor injuries but has not been identified.
Both individuals were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Authorities are investigating whether alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.
Lane closures were reported as emergency responders worked at the scene, with further investigation ongoing.
