Rudy Giuliani Injured in New Hampshire Car Crash
Rudy Giuliani, 81, is recovering from a fractured vertebra and other injuries sustained in a car crash in New Hampshire late Saturday.
According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rented Ford Bronco driven by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, when their vehicle was rear-ended by a Honda HR-V operated by a 19-year-old woman on Interstate 93. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and ended up hitting the highway median.
Goodman and the young woman received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at local hospitals. Giuliani was transported to a trauma center where he is being treated for a fractured thoracic vertebra, lacerations, contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg, as confirmed by his head of security, Michael Ragusa.
State Police are investigating the crash, having observed it while responding to an unrelated domestic violence report prior to 10 p.m. Authorities have not filed any charges at this time.
Giuliani was flagged down by a woman seeking help before the accident, which Ragusa emphasized was unrelated to the crash. Additional comments from police concerning the domestic violence incident remain undisclosed.
Andrew Giuliani, Rudy's son, expressed gratitude for the public's support in a post on social media.
The former mayor, known for his leadership after 9/11 and his role as a personal attorney for Donald Trump, has faced various legal challenges in recent years related to election fraud claims.
This incident is currently under investigation by State Police.
