NELSON COUNTY, Ky. — A crash on Bloomfield Road early Saturday morning resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man, according to Kentucky State Police.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., KSP was called by Kentucky Fish and Wildlife to investigate the incident involving a pickup truck and a passenger car. Preliminary reports indicate that the passenger car was traveling on Bloomfield Road when a truck crossed the center line.
The driver of the car, identified as John Cecil from Bloomfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver and several passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not disclosed whether the truck driver will face charges. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
