JOHNSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — Authorities reported a car accident involving a utility pole on Greenville Avenue early Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 2 a.m. and involved one vehicle, which rolled over upon impact.
Police arrested 19-year-old Elvis Goins, charging him with driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test.
According to officials, Goins displayed signs of impairment after being extricated from the vehicle.
He was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
