LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A woman has died following a collision with a box truck Thursday night just outside downtown Las Vegas.
The crash occurred around 11:18 p.m. in the area of Eastern Avenue, south of Owens Avenue, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Authorities stated the woman was crossing Eastern Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a 2019 Ram ProMaster box truck traveling north.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma, where she was pronounced dead due to her injuries. The driver remained at the scene of the accident.
This incident is noted as the 89th traffic-related fatality within the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2025. The Collision Investigation Section of the police department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
