ROCHESTER, N.H. — A person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Rochester Hill Road.
Authorities reported receiving calls about the accident at 6:46 a.m. involving three vehicles. The victim's identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Witness Paul Stewart said he and his wife heard the crash while preparing their daughters for school. “We heard the screech and then the crunch of the cars,” he described. Stewart mentioned rushing outside to help and noted, “It's probably the worst crash I've seen on this road.”
Stewart added that accidents on that stretch are common, expressing concern for his family's safety: “We hear the sirens all the time on Rochester Hill Road. We have two tiny girls. We're afraid to let them outside, and it's the reason we're trying to move.”
Rochester Hill Road was closed between Ryan Circle and Squire Lane during the investigation. Capt. Jeremy Aucoin urged any witnesses to come forward, stating, “It's a heavily traveled road.”
The investigation is ongoing as authorities gather further details about the crash.
