CLINTON COUNTY, Iowa — Two people were killed in a UTV crash Sunday afternoon on private property near Calamus, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. when a 2013 Polaris UTV left a trail and entered a watercourse, flipping onto its top. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was transported by ground ambulance to Genesis DeWitt Hospital, where they later died.
Authorities have not released the names of the victims, pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing, with inquiries by the Iowa State Patrol and the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.
